5 Most Popular Flowers for Your Garden

By Colins Smith When planting a garden there are many questions which you must ask yourself before you begin. Where are you going to plant it, do you have the garden equipment to do so and how big do you want your garden to be? When do flowers bloom and what are their heights? These are all very important questions, however they mean very little if you have not yet decided which types of flowers you want to plant. There are many to choose from and dont le anybody tell you which ones you can and cant plant. Gardens are unique and fascinating to look at because each one is unique it its own way. There are endless possibilities of flowers to choose from but if you are unsure of which types of flowers are known to look best in gardens, keep reading and you will find out. The following is a list of the five most popular types of garden flowers chosen by gardeners from all over the United States: 1. Cosmos - These flowers have the ability to grow anywhere from 12 inches to 4 feet tall. Cosmos are perfect for cutting gardens and are often picked out of gardens and used in flower arrangements. 2. Marigold Marigolds can be found in yellow, orange, red or a combination of all colors. This type of flower blooms in 45 to 50 days from sowing and very rarely requires additional water than what the rain provides. 3. Morning Glory Morning glories have heart shaped leaves and are available in a variety of colors including white, blue, red, pink and lavender. This type of flower has the capability to become more than ten feet high. 4. Zinnia Zinnias are traditional, old fashioned flowers which are constantly blooming all season. If there is not a lot of rain, this type of flower will require watering on a consistent basis but try to get water on the foliage (leaves) as this can cause mold which can potentially cause the plant to die. 5. Sunflowers Theres no better flower for your garden than the sunflower. Sunflowers have yellowish-orange petal with a black circle in the middle. These flowers can grow to be as tall as 6 feet or possibly even higher depending on the flower itself. In order for your garden to flourish successfully, you will have to maintain it and keep it healthy on a daily basis. Watering cans, pruning shears, gloves and spades are all types of gardening equipment which will assist you in keeping your garden in good condition. These pieces of equipment are very important and are relatively inexpensive. The types of flowers you choose will have a large impact on the overall outcome of your garden. The list above was provided as a guideline for novice gardeners who area unsure of which flowers may be most adaptable to a garden atmosphere. Which flowers you choose will ultimately be your choice and regardless of the kinds or colors of your flowers, your garden will be a wonderful piece of work for everyone to admire. Becoming a Certified Professional Accountant or CPA

By Rebecca Game The work of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or for the purposes of this article, a Certified Professional Accountant, requires involvement in a broad range of accounting, auditing, tax, and consulting activities. Most positions for a Certified Professional Accountant require a minimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, and will often require or prefer a master's degree in accounting, or at least some course work in an accounting master's degree program. A Certified Professional Accountant must reach the (CPA) status through CPA certification. This involves a number of recommendations and requirements in order to receive certification. As of early 2005, based on recommendations made by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), 42 States and the District of Columbia require CPA candidates to complete 150 semester hours of college course work, which is an additional 30 hours beyond the typical four year bachelor's degree program. Another five States have adopted similar legislation that will go into effect between 2006 and 2009. The only States not requiring 150 semester hours are Colorado, Delaware, New Hampshire, and Vermont. Because of the Nation's response to this trend, the majority of institutions of higher education have altered curriculum planning accordingly, with most programs offering master's degrees as part of the 150 required hours. To become a Certified Professional Account and receive CPA certification, individuals in all states are required to take a four part, Uniform CPA Examination prepared by the AICPA. This two-day examination is extremely rigorous and detailed. Approximately 25 percent of individuals who take the exam each year pass every part they attempt. Candidates that take the CPA examination are not required to pass all four parts at once, but most States do require that those taking the exam pass at least two parts for partial credit, and are required to complete all four sections within a certain period given by the State in which certification is sought. The CPA exam is computerized, and is offered quarterly at many different testing centers throughout the nation. The majority of States also require applications for CPA certification to also have work experience in the field of accounting. Once CPA certification has been received, a Certified Professional Accountant has many career options available. Certified Professional Accountants may choose to be self employed, or may seek employment with banks and credit unions; government agencies; businesses; nonprofit organizations; accounting firms; auditing firms; and a variety of other areas. Based on the individual Certified Professional Accountant, it is possible to advance within a corporation or accounting department quite rapidly. Certified Professional Accountants that have inadequate preparation, or those that are not adequately detail oriented, for example, may find career advancement very difficult. A Certified Professional Accountant may perform a variety of job duties. Certified Professional Accountants generally perform a broad range of accounting, tax, and consulting services for their clients. Some may choose to specialize in different areas, such as auditing or forensic accounting, which involves investigating and interpreting white collar crimes such as securities fraud and embezzlement, bankruptcies and contract disputes, and other complex and possibly criminal financial transactions, including money laundering by organized criminals. An entry level Certified Professional Accountant will generally maintain records of routine accounting transactions, and may also assist in the preparation of financial and operating reports, including trial balances, adjustments, and closing entries. The entry level Certified Professional Accountant may also assist in the analysis and interpretation of accounting records for use by the management team. The intermediate Certified Professional Accountant prepares and maintains accounting records, not only for general accounting, but may also work with costing and budget data, as well as examine, analyze and interpret accounting records for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements. An intermediate Certified Professional Accountant often acts as a lead to lower level employees in the accounting department. A senior Certified Professional Accountant generally establishes, interprets, and analyzes complex accounting records of financial statements. This might also include general accounting, costing, or budget data. The senior Certified Professional Accountant usually also examines, analyzes, and interprets accounting records for management. A Certified Professional Accountant with CPA certification who is just starting out in the field may begin their career with a firm, with job duties entailing work with several clients. Those who excel may work to become supervisors, managers, or partners; transfer to executive positions in management, auditing or consulting; or may open their own firms. In general, a Certified Professional Accountant or CPA has a great amount of occupational mobility and career flexibility, as well as an ability to move up, move around, and earn a very comfortable living, either through employment by a firm or through being self-employed with their own firm. The position of a Certified Professional Accountant is most often a stepping stone for bigger, future career moves. Most Certified Professional Accountants eventually choose to shift into management accounting or internal auditing. It is much less common for a management accountant or internal auditor to shift their career and become a Certified Professional Account. Was Herbert Armstrong Elijah?

By David Ben-Ariel Geoff Neilson has written "7 quick steps proving HWA is the endtime Elijah," that Herbert W. Armstrong was the prophesied individual to come in the power and spirit of Elijah, as taught by the former Worldwide Church of God and still believed by many of the branches of the Sabbath-keeping Church of God. However, not every individual within them believe he completely fulfilled that great restoration role but that he served as an Elijah to the Church and there yet remains for the appearance and work of an Elijah to the nations: #7--If Elijah has not already come, then (a) the endtime hasn't started; (b)everyone in the Church's doctrine is in a state of huge disrepair until he comes and restores all things, (c) and no-one in our day has ever understood endtime prophecy. That's hysterically throwing the baby out with the bathwater and proving that too many have built their whole "house" upon a man rather than the WORD OF GOD. Mr. Rupert knew, taught and observed the biblical Sabbath, festivals, dietary laws and our Israelite identity, and prophesied of the great apostacy, long before God's apostle was sent to take these already revealed truths to the world in a BIG WAY, as prophesied, laying the foundation (like Mr. Rupert did for him) for the TWO WITNESSES who will finish the Work. Mr. Armstrong finished the Work God gave for him to do. It's time to go forward, to look ahead, and continue to let God's Word correct and improve our understanding. I thank God for His apostle Herbert W. Armstrong and give tremendous credit to the man, but my life and beliefs are based on the WORD OF GOD that remains alive and lasts forever, and it has the last say on every subject. Mr. Armstrong was given the gift of inspired understanding, but he was not a prophet or he wouldn't have made a single mistake! As Chanah wisely notes, if we say, against his own words, he was a prophet, then you're making him out to be a false prophet, and I certainly don't think that's your intention. Your intention, I believe is to honor God and His servant, but we're to give credit due where credit is due - nothing more or less. Mr. Armstrong isn't anybody less because he wasn't a biblical prophet - and prophets are sent to the NATIONS with strong messages, not pretty platitudes appropriate for the times. Mr. Armstrong wrote of the time coming when the PLAIN TRUTH would drop like a BOMBSHELL about the origins of traditional Christianity. That time has come! No more black tie dinners and diplomatic, refined and harmless speech, now it's time to tell it like it is, drop all pretense and ROAR GOD'S FINAL WARNING TO THIS WORLD! We won't merely say, as was appropriate at that time, "A Strong Unseen Hand from Someplace" will save us, we'll herald the coming of the King of the Jews, the King of Israel, who will rule with a ROD OF IRON and knock some sense into the heads of state! He will smash all opposition! He will liberate Jerusalem and reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. David Ben-Ariel, a Christian-Zionist writer and author of Beyond Babylon: Europe's Rise and Fall, shares a special focus on the Middle East and great interest in Jerusalem, reflected in hard-hitting articles that help others improve their understanding of that troubled region. The Immigration Asylum & Nationality Act 2006 - Summary Of Changes

By Ian Mann The Immigration Asylum & Nationality Act 2006 is the fifth major piece of legislation in the field of asylum and immigration since 1993. Commencement The Immigration Asylum & Nationality Act 2006 received Royal Assent on the 30th March 2006 and by virtue of a second commencement order, the main provisions took effect on 31 August 2006 by virtue of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 (Commencement No.2) Order 2006. Appeals The first sections of the Act are concerned with appeals and impose new restrictions on the right to appeal against Home Office asylum or immigration decisions. The most significant is section 4 which limits the right of appeal against refusal of entry clearance to cases in which the application for entry clearance was made either for the purpose of entering as a dependant or a visitor - in both cases limited by reference to regulations made by the Home Secretary. Significantly, there will no longer be a right of appeal against refusal of entry clearance as a student. Section 1 inserts a new section 83A into the Immigration, Nationality and Asylum Act 2002 to introduce a new right of appeal for people who are no longer recognised as refugees but who are permitted to stay in the UK on some other basis. Section 2 amends section 82(2)(g) of the 2002 Act to provide a right of appeal against a decision to remove under section 10(1)(b) of the 1999 Act. This will give the person a separate right of appeal at each of the two decision stages; the first at the revocation stage and the second at the stage the decision to remove is taken. Section 3 amends section 84 of the 2002 Act. It provides that an appeal under the new section 83A may only be brought on the ground that removal would breach the United Kingdom's obligations under the Refugee Convention. Section 4 substitutes one provision for Sections 88A, 90 and 91 of the 2002 Act which limits all appeals against refusal of entry clearance to limited grounds (human rights and race discrimination), with the exception of those listed in the categories. By section 6 a person may not appeal against refusal of leave to enter the United Kingdom unless: (1) on his arrival in the United Kingdom he had entry clearance and (2) the purpose of entry specified in the entry clearance is the same as that specified in his application for leave to enter. Section 89 of the 2002 Act restricts rights of appeal against refusal of permission to enter at the port of both visitors and students who do not hold an entry clearance. This restriction limits the grounds of appeal to human rights and race discrimination. If the appeal is exercised in the UK it is restricted to asylum. A right of appeal remains in all cases on both human rights and race discrimination grounds. Section 7 provides powers to hear only human rights aspects of national security appeal cases in country with the national security aspects of the case. Employment Section 15 imposes civil (and not criminal) penalties in the form of fines on employers of persons over the age of 16 subject to immigration control in defined circumstances. A person is subject to immigration control if he requires leave to enter or remain in the United Kingdom under the provisions of the Immigration Act 1971. The defined circumstances are that: (1) the employee had no leave to enter or remain or (2) his leave was invalid, had expired or otherwise prevented him from accepting employment. Provision is made in Sections 16 and 17 for objections on the part of the employer to the imposition of a penalty and for appeal to a County Court against such an imposition. By section 21, if the employer knowingly employs an over-16 subject to immigration control he commits an offence which is punishable (on indictment) to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or on summary conviction for a term not exceeding 12 months and/or in either case to a fine. If the employer employs an individual without permission to work allowing on the spot fines of up to 2000 per illegal worker. Section 23 imposes an obligation on the Home Secretary to issue a Code of Practice specifying what employers should do to avoid: (1) liability to civil penalties, (2) the commission of offences under section 21 and (3) discrimination which would be contrary to race relations legislation. Information Section 27 relates to provisions on detention and examination of passports and other documents produced by passengers or those found on them while being examined under Schedule 2. It also provides a new power to enable immigration officers to require passengers being examined under Schedule 2 to provide biometric information such as fingerprints for the purpose of ascertaining whether a passenger in question is the rightful holder of the passport or other document he produces. Section 29 imposes stricter time limits on people seeking asylum to attend for fingerprinting than on people in other categories. Section 32 gives the police powers to require advance information about passengers and crew or freight of ships and aircraft arriving, expected to arrive, leaving or expected to leave the United Kingdom. Existing powers of the H.M. Revenue and Customs to obtain such information are by Section 33 is extended to ships and aircraft arriving or expected to arrive in the United Kingdom. Section 54 broadens the exclusion clause in 1F(c) of the Refugee Convention. Provides that where the Secretary of State rejects an asylum claim wholly or partly on the basis of Article 1F, the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal or the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) must begin its deliberations on the asylum aspects of any appeal by considering whether or nor Article 1F applies and if it does it must dismiss the appeal in so far as it relies on the Refugee Convention. Section 55 empowers the Home Secretary to issue a certificate declaring that the appellant is not entitled to the protection of Article 33.1 of the Convention because one or other of the exclusions applies. If such a certificate is issued, the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal is required by section 55 to begin its hearing of the appeal by considering the contents of the certificate. If the Tribunal agrees with the certificate then there will be no necessity to consider the evidence which the appellant would otherwise adduce in support of his asylum appeal. In other words the Tribunal is now able to dismiss an appeal on this preliminary point. Provisions on citizenship Section 40(2) of the British Nationality Act 1981 empowers the Home Secretary to deprive a person of British citizenship if he is satisfied that that person has done something prejudicial to the vital interests of the United Kingdom or a British overseas territory. Such an order may not be made if the person concerned is thereby rendered stateless. Section 56 of the 2006 Act amends the wording so that the Home Secretary must be satisfied that deprivation of citizenship is conducive to the public good Section 2 of the Immigration Act 1971 defines "right of abode in the United Kingdom" as extending to British citizens and to Commonwealth citizens who acquired that right before the commencement of the British Nationality Act 1981. By section 57 the Home Secretary is empowered to deprive a person of the right of abode if he thinks that it would be conducive to the public good for the person concerned to be excluded or removed from the United Kingdom. Various provisions of the British Nationality Act 1981 deal with the registration of persons as British citizens or as British overseas territories citizens. Section 58(1) now precludes the registration as a citizen of any description of any person falling within the categories concerned unless the Home Secretary is satisfied that the person concerned is of good character. Children's Portraits - An Oil Painting that Lasts a Lifetime

By Allan Holder For centuries, childrens portraits have been captured on oil and canvas. However, in the new digital media age oil paintings have become less popular as photography has grown has become more fashionable and commonplace. While photography is certainly a less complex medium, the value of a custom-created oil painting is priceless, as it will create a memory that lasts for many generations. The good news is that commissioning a custom painting is not necessarily the arduous process that it was when painting was the only form of image capture. Using Photographs for Oil Paintings Thanks to photography, the subjects of oil paintings no longer have to spend days paused in one single position as the painter captures his or her image. When commissioning a custom painting, most people will now bring a photograph of the subject to the artist. Whereas in the past, childrens portraits were time consuming and required a great amount of patience, the process has been somewhat simplified by the process of copying a photo to canvas for the purposes of creating a custom painting, such as a childrens portrait. In addition to using an artist to create the oil painting, there is now complicated software that facilitates the transfer of a photo to canvas. This method, known as photo-to-campus, is usually less expensive (and less valuable) than hiring an artist to paint the masterpiece. However, the result can be striking. A Unique Gift A custom painting, such as childrens portrait makes a great anniversary gift idea. Whether it be for parents, grandparents or other family members or friends, a custom painting is a way to commemorate and honor the years of love that have existed between not only the couple themselves, but also to recognize all that that has sprung out of their union. Children themselves can commission a custom painting for their own childrens portraits or one of themselves for an anniversary gift. Picture Perfect Value A custom oil painting, such as a childrens portrait is usually priced based on how many subjects are represented in the portrait. The more subjects present, the greater amount of time and difficulty the painting will involve. Therefore, the price will be greater. However, the cost of a custom painting may be worth price as it will be a cherished piece of art and family heirloom for many generations. Photo-to-Canvas With the photo to canvas process, it may be possible to create a custom painting, such as a childrens portrait, for an anniversary gift without having to find a willing artist. Most of the supplies can be purchased at retail stores and, contrary to popular belief, the process does not require any expertise. After copying the photo to canvas, simply paint over the print with the oil paints and create a custom painting of a childrens portrait yourself. Be careful not to expect that the childrens portrait will turn out exactly the same as if a professional had created it, however, sometimes a personal touch is the anniversary gift that will be cherished the most of all. Allan holder is the founder and owner of
My Picture Painter Oil Paintings:
which is a site dedicated to the revival of the lost art of portrait painting. In today's fast paced world, sitting for a portrait painting is simply not practical.

Releasing The Emotional Roots Of Anxiety

By Nick Arrizza, M.D. Those of you who have ever experienced prolonged and unexplained periods of anxiety may have wondered more than once what the cause of it was for you. When no known cause was apparent and the symptoms became intolerable or made you unable to function you likely may have turned to some form of medication or other modality to lessen its impact on your life. To make it plain and easy to understand how I conceptualize the root cause of anxiety I will use the analog of a pot of water on a stove top. Assume here that your awareness is limited strictly to the surface of the water in the pot. In other words you do not know that the pot is on a stove top and that the stove element is turn on to high. What you see after some time is the turbulence on the surface of the water. Now if you had never experienced this before you might be hard pressed to explain what was going on. Of course you do know however that the water is being heated and that this is responsible for the turbulence. Now if we go back to the situation with the anxiety. The symptoms of the anxiety which you experience emotionally, mentally and physically represent the turbulence on the surface of the water in the pot as it is being heated. What does the heat represent in this case? Well it represents all those uncomfortable feelings, thoughts and memories that you have stored within your mind/body (some call this the unconscious mind) that you are suppressing simply because if you allowed yourself to feel them you might not be able to function. Unfortunately the "pressure" exerted on your conscious mind by this submerged material is great enough to make you aware of its presence. This is what you experience as the anxiety i.e. the turbulence on the surface of the water. You have however sufficiently submerged the root causes of the discomfort (i.e. the memories themselves) and therefore cannot make a conscious link between the anxiety and their cause. This tactic of trying to suppress uncomfortable memories is engaged because many "think" that by doing so they will push the offending material away and therefore feel better. Well, like it or not, this never works. When this material is pushed away it only gets pushed inside and like a beach ball pushed into the shallow end of a swimming pool it will exert an equal and opposite force upward and outward into your conscious mind. The net result is that by trying to keep it submerged it only depletes your vital life energy. The only way to effectively deal with the anxiety is to release the memory completely and thereby release the internal pressure. Most psychotherapies fail at this process because in doing so they leave the client vulnerable to re-experiencing the full force of the negative experience in what is termed an abreaction. When this happens the client often feels re-traumatized and may leave therapy. With a new modality called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP) the client gains considerable resilience and emotional strength as they are allowed to become aware of the offending material at their own desired pace. They also are able to completely, permanently and quickly release the offending material thereby reclaiming vast amounts of vital life energy. This process is done over the telephone and is accessible by visiting the web link below. Dr. Nick Arrizza is trained in Chemical Engineering, Business Management & Leadership, Medicine and Psychiatry. He is an Energy Psychiatrist, Healer, Key Note Speaker,Editor of a New Ezine Called "Spirituality And Science" (which is requesting high quality article submissions) Author of "Esteem for the Self: A Manual for Personal Transformation" (available in ebook format on his web site), Stress Management Coach, Peak Performance Coach & Energy Medicine Researcher, Specializes in Life and Executive Performance Coaching, is the Developer of a powerful new tool called the Mind Resonance Process(TM) that helps build physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being by helping to permanently release negative beliefs, emotions, perceptions and memories. By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Adam_Maywald]Adam Maywald Choosing the Sprint cell phone and accessories of your choice is not as easy as it seem to be. If you think that all you need to consider is the kind of unit and what your cell phone will look like, then you are not really looking at it from the important angles that you should do. Granted that there are those people who change cell phones and accessories as fast as they change their shirts. But not all people have the capability to just shed out some money to have this luxury. You may be one of those who need to take a lot of time looking for the perfect Sprint cell phone and accessories because it is one thing that you are going to have for a long period of time. If this is your purpose, then it is only necessary that you search and find the kind of features and accessory that will worth all the money you pay. When buying your own [http://www.pindropcellphones.com]Sprint cell phones and accessories, some of the features you should be looking for are the following. 1. Dual mode cell phones. Having a dual mode cell phone is important especially if you tend to travel a lot and is not so sure about the network coverage that different places have. Expect to pay minimal fees with this kind of service. But if it means having continuous service anywhere you go, then the fees are worth paying. You can choose single mode cell phones if you are permanently based in a place that have coverage capacity without any problems. This way, you will not be paying the higher charges. 2. The weight and size. The lighter and smaller the Sprint cell phone, the more portable it will be. Portability is what cell phones are known for in the first place. Anything that weights more than 4 ounces and appears bigger than 5 inches is already considered large by cell phone standards. For sure, you would rather have one of those that can fit smugly into any of the pockets in your clothes. 3. The life of the battery. Sprint cell phone battery is one of the most important accessory you can buy your phone. Without a good battery, all of your time will be spent recharging or having a dead cell phone in times when you need them the most. The battery life will depend upon the kind of Sprint cell phone model you have and how you use them. This is why some people prefer to have extra battery accessories with them all the time. In the course of buying your Sprint cell phone, check out the accessories available. You would be better off having one of those batteries that have higher power capacities. You could also opt to buy portable chargers you an take along with you. 4. Cell phone design. There are a lot of varying designs that you can choose from when you buy your Sprint cell phone. Flip and non-flip are just some of the examples. You should have a clear picture of what kind of cell phone and accessories you need so you will not get all fickle-minded once you see the many designs on display. Be sure that the design will not have any effects on the usage of the phone. Try to consider the sound and signal quality behind the different accessories that the Sprint cell phone has. This results in poor credit of a person. In other words, a poor credit can be referred to the tag that gets attached, when you make default in repayments. What is poor credit score? When the person make defaults in repayments of debts, his score gets bad. This in turn brings the financial reputation of person down. People with poor credit score often find difficulties in applying for a loan. Generally, the credit score of a person goes bad due to the following: Arrears
Defaults
Late payments
Bankruptcy Poor credit history loan It is almost impossible for individuals with poor credit history to get conventional loans. However, there is solution to it known as poor credit history loan. Poor credit history loan is just intended for the people with bad credit history. A number of agencies and organization have commenced offering these loans due to significant increase in the number of individuals having financial problem and bad credit score in the financial market. Forms of poor credit loan Secured poor credit loan This loan is taken against any collateral. It acts as security to the lender. Collateral makes the lender feel secure, against the loan taken by the borrower. So, the interest charged is lower as compared to the loan taken without security. Unsecured poor credit loan No collateral is required while taking unsecured poor credit history loan. Since there is no collateral against the loan, the lender solely relies on the borrowers promise and his credibility to repay the debt. Thus, the lender usually charges a high rate of interest to compensate the risk involved Like all other loans, if you extend or make delay in paying the monthly repayments, you will have to pay higher interest and penalty. The borrower can make his credit score worst by defaulting in payments. Not only the credit score will further worsen, but also the person may lose his asset placed as collateral against secured poor credit loan. Positive aspect Poor credit history loan helps in improving the credit score. By making payments on time and repaying the loan as soon as possible, you will start getting positive score to your credit report. Poor credit loan can be used for any purpose Nowadays, various lending agencies, banks and companies also offer online facility. Online option makes the evaluation of various lenders easier. Moreover, let borrowers choose the lender, which suits their needs and requirements. It saves lot of time as you dont have to go to each and every lenders place for the loan. Thus by evaluating the above points, we infer that the poor credit history loan is golden opportunity for the people having poor credit score. Though high rate of interest is involved but it can improve your credit score by making timely repayments. Men Do Not Make Threats In A Relationship That You Can't Keep

By Teddy Shabba Women who are in relationships and in general make threats they can not keep most of the time. They do so mainly because they are not coming from a place of strength but rather weakness (soft). It works because they are soft and men back down easily sometimes, yet when it doesn't work all that happens is the man maintains his position of power and the relationship remains the same if not strengthened by the man displaying his strength. However, when a man makes threats he can not or does not plan on keeping if discovered will change the dynamic of the relationship form one in which he is in control and with the power to her being in control and with the power. Many times men make this threat when she has already lost attraction in him and therefore his power over her. For instance when a woman has made plans to go out with an ex and tells you about it the relationship is over. Yet, some men will forbid her to go and tell her the relationship is over if she goes. When she calls your bluff and goes anyways you have put yourself in a very lose/lose situation. You have no choice but to leave or stay and be with a woman who controls the relationship. Is There a Magic Marketing Formula? - Part 1

By Jane Hendry One of the biggest mistakes that I see small business owners make is to spend their money (or time) on marketing or advertising, not get the results they want and then conclude that marketing doesn't work. Or they keep on spending their money and time on advertising, despite their lack of results and convince themselves that it's "raising their profile". (In reality, it's probably just money down the drain.) The main reason that their marketing doesn't produce the results that they want is because they've usually missed out or half done one of the ingredients of their "marketing formula" or are doing things in the wrong order. Getting your marketing right is a bit like baking a cake - you need the right ingredients, in the right proportions, added in the right sequence and baked at the right temperature. What can a good "marketing formula" do for you? A good marketing formula can help you to: * raise response to all of your marketing activities so that you have more leads in your pipeline for the same investment * make your marketing profitable (as it should be!) rather than an expense * secure more sales from the presentations you do and the appointments you attend Once you've worked out your formula, most of your campaigns will be successes and you can use your formula over and over again to continually reproduce outstanding results. To illustrate the point, one famous marketer claims to have done a direct mail campaign that got a 100% response! In other words, everyone that he sent his letter to bought his product or service. Now, that is unheard of in a world where a 3% response rate is considered to be good. Another marketer claims to turn 98% of all telephone consultations into business (and 40% is generally considered to be doing OK in her field). These people have got their marketing formulas highly tuned and working very hard for them. Can you achieve the same results? Well, you may not ever achieve a 100% response to a mailshot, (that was probably an exceptional case) but you can certainly improve the performance of your marketing and start making it pay once you know and understand the ingredients of marketing success. So what are the ingredients and steps of a good "marketing formula"? Your marketing formula is comprised of two parts: The ingredients: This is really the foundation of your marketing - it's the groundwork that allows whatever marketing activities you undertake to actually work and give you good results. The ingredients are: * a very clear target market (preferably one that is hungry for what you offer) * a thorough understanding of your target market - what concerns them, why they would buy your services, what motivates them and how you can identify and locate them * a good value proposition (the tangible outcome you deliver) * an irresistible offer * an understanding of the competitive landscape and where your company fits in (or in other words - your differentiation and your positioning) * a strong, client-attracting message You can have brilliantly executed marketing, but if the ingredients are wrong, then you're either going to attract all the wrong types of people, or attract multitudes less than you are really capable of. Either way, you would be wasting your marketing effort and budget. The steps: These are the steps that you take to implement your marketing, and the sequence you move your potential buyers through en-route to them becoming loyal clients. These include: * the strategy you use to get your compelling message in front of your target market * where and how you place your message for maximum impact in the budget you've allocated (your message can be delivered verbally or in written form) * the timing of your message * the steps your prospects need to be taken through to turn them from strangers into paying clients A weakness or failure at any of these points will lead to reduced response and lowered conversion rates - and that means weak results and wasted investment. It's somewhat like a chain - the system fails at the weakest points, so all points have to be as strong as possible. So if you want your marketing to succeed, you need a good formula - the right ingredients combined in the right steps. Just like baking a cake - if you do things in the wrong order, or miss steps out, you'll end up with a result you didn't want - a burnt cake, a cake that's rock hard or biscuits instead! In part two of this series of articles I'll discuss the ingredients in more detail - so look out for it in a couple of weeks. :-) Copyright 2005 Attractioneering Jane Hendry helps professionals, consultants and coaches to create marketing systems that easily and consistently attract their ideal clients. Apple Iphone Mobile Phone - The Sexy New Apple Iphone Mobile Phone

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Paul_D_Johnson]Paul D Johnson This much awaited phone is so different from anything that is currently available. It actually combines 3 products into one. It is a mobile phone, a widescreen iPod with touch controls, and an internet communications device with desktop-class email, web browsing, maps, and searching. The screen size is 3.5 inches which is much bigger than the 5G iPod's 2.5 inch screen. That makes for much more convenient movie viewing. The weight is 4.8 oz which is a standard weight for its size of 4.5x2.4x0.46 inches. It isn't the smallest phone available, but the profile is very slim making the Apple iphone mobile phone a very sleek and sexy phone. It is actually thinner than the Motorola Q and Samsung BlackJack. The battery life is promised to be 5 hours for calling or video and 16 hours for music. The Apple iPhone mobile phone is available in either 4GB or 8GB capacities.
There are no restrictions on media content, meaning you could use all your memory on media if you wanted. This is a pleasing change from the Motorola Rokr and many others that have a 100 track limit. This phone boasts an entirely new user interface - a large multi-touch display. The new software allows users to control everything with only their fingertips. It promises to speed up messaging and e-mails with the new onscreen typing, which is supposed to be much better than using a stylus. The resolution is 320X480X160 pixels per inch, which is said to be the highest resolution yet, and makes for superb viewing quality. Movie choices will be endless now that Apple and Paramount have started a partnership. One of the most awesome features of the phone is the visual voicemail. There is no need to call the voice mail to check messages. Instead, messages are displayed in a list like an email inbox. To listen to a message, simply select the one you want and listen. The camera feature of the Apple iPhone mobile phone is a 2-megapixel camera. The display is rotated for landscape pictures. This smart phone is also full of unique sensors that sense what you're doing so the display is changed on its own. For example, a proximity sensor dims the screen and turns off the touch screen when you bring the phone up to your ear. One thing the phone does not do, however, is allow wireless iTunes downloads. However, with everything else it offers, I think we can let that slide. You know you want your brand new [http://www.appleiphonemobilephonenow.com]Apple Iphone Mobile Phone! The whole month is a cakewalk except the last five to six days of the month. As natures balance you may call, when you are short of something, you need that most; same is the case with your paycheque. When you start waiting eagerly for your next pay packet, an emergency situation occurs which makes you short of funds. Mental tension goes hand in hand. Shed off your worries, bad credit instant loans are meant only for you. At the end of the month, you may be faced with an awkward situation, a pending medical bill or an emergency purchase. If you are holding a bad credit history; the situation worsens. You may wonder having a savior of sort who can fund you irrespective of your bad credit history. The first knock should be at the doors of bad credit loans. Bad credit history includes arrears, defaults, County Court Judgments, bankruptcy etc. You acquire a bad credit when you fail to make payments on time. A borrower with a bad credit history is considered as a high risk borrower and lenders are wary of providing them the loan. Doors are obviously not closed down upon you, bad credit loans are there welcoming you always with open hand. Another important feature of bad credit loans is its instant availability. Loans get approved within 24 hours and the loan amount is transferred directly in the borrowers account. Bad credit instant loans are available at a high rate of interest which is understandable in absence of collateral and a bad credit history. Though a high rate of interest does not hamper its popularity. An honest approach can help you deal with the repayment term quite efficiently. The repayment terms are also suited to the situation. Payments are due every 14 days and can be extended up to 18 days. Rolling over option which enables the loan to be extended to the next pay day is also available. Dating Made Easy

By Terry Ross With the onset of the internet dating has become a whole new ball game. Gone are the days when you had to get dressed up and head out to the clubs or rely on a heavy social calendar to find that perfect partner. No longer do you have to strike up a conversation with a complete stranger, sit through endless boring evenings with people with who you have nothing in common or get embarrassed when friends and family decide to play match maker. We are now in an age when dating is so easy once you know how. With so many dating agencies around the possibilities are endless, an almost limitless number of profiles for you to read through in the comfort of your own home and the ability to start dating several steps removed from the starting block armed with almost everything you need to know about a person before you even go on a first date. No crappy pick up lines, no playing hard to get, just a natural progression from the initial contact that is totally within your control. The clever ones have taken dating one step further by making good use of all the targeted information that is now available on the net written by people that are most experienced in the field. They have learned everything there is to know about why you should be honest about yourself, avoid playing games and be proud of who you are. The clever ones in the dating scene have learned how to relax and portray their character full of confidence. They have learned the art of seduction, how to make the best use of body language and how to capture who ever they meet from the very first date and hold on to them for as long as they want to. None of it is rocket science, its all about the level of effort you are prepared to put in to find and keep that perfect partner. Take for example the first time you meet. Dating is all about first impressions, it doesnt matter if this particular date is the one for you but at the outset you dont know and you can never recover that initial meeting. The very first time you set eyes on each other is lost for ever after the first few seconds. You may have met up with several people that really arent right for you but never let past experiences make you underestimate the need to make first impressions count. Most people head out for that first date nervous and concerned about what people might think. They lack the confidence they need to carry it off but at the end of the day you are who you are, does it matter what other people really think. You might not think you have the best looks, you may think you are over weight but then weve all now seen what a good makeover can do and how many people do you see out there drawing in the crowd when the main things they have going for them is confidence and the ability to make the most of their assets. Confidence is all about looking beyond what you dont like about yourself, focusing on what is good and learning how to make the most of everything you have. Stop seeking approval from others and learn to be who you are. And it has to be said, with internet dating its never been so easy, your first meeting is with someone who has already seen your photo, theyve already learned nearly everything they need to know about you and they still want to meet up. If youve been honest in your profile what is there to be nervous about? Just make an effort, show off your assets and go out there and enjoy yourself. If it doesnt work out so what, they obviously werent right for you, you just move on until you find that match made in heaven. Working in the Space

By Dennis Bartram In ancient times, technological advances were not supported by science. The evidence of these skills were in the hands of the doers, craftsmen and artisans. Many skills were honed to high levels of expertise without the formal education that is emphasized today. This was achieved through using whole brain pattern recognition more than biased left-brain analytic methods. Logic brain thinking dominates modern society as we live in a world of computers and monitoring of information. The left hemisphere of the brain processes logic thought and is linear and organized in its thinking mode. The right hemisphere is credited with being spatial, imaginative and intuitive. When the two hemispheres integrate we become well organized both in thought and movement. Our earliest brain was the limbic brain formerly known as the Rhin Encephalon or nose brain. This ancient brain functioned out of instincts and unlearned behavioural patterns. Pre-learned and instinctual behaviors would elicit physiological body patterns as a protective survival strategy. Physiology elicits chemical change and this obviously stimulates body functions and specific areas of the brain. When people become stressed or use either hemisphere of the brain dominantly, the brain desynchronizes and becomes imbalanced. This results in a lack of integration in the brain producing energy and co ordination disturbances which can produce symptoms of lack of concentration and lowered energy states. Most exercise forms are ipsilateral or use only one side of the body with a bias of muscle activity. Golf, tennis and snooker are examples of a one sided activity. Even more one-sided forms of exercise emphasize muscle activity to the point of specialization or bias leading to strain. Dr. Hatsumis training in Tai Jutsu (natural movement) integrates the brains neural pathways to work as a triune brain. This produces a natural physiology and a balanced chemistry.. With a triune brain mentality, our physiology is coupled with instincts intelligence and logic. Hatsumi describes this body feeling as SHIN SHIN SHIN GATA. To see with the eyes and heart of God (Nature). In ancient times, the instinctual brain would elicit natural movement behaviour in keeping with the ecology of the environment and the need for survival. Ancient man needed to be a predator but all the time aware he could be predated on. SHIN SHIN SHIN GATA
(Seeing with the eyes and Heart of Nature) The very essence of Dr Hatsumis budo training is Tai Jutsu. It is more than body movement applied to a task. Its feeling becomes a synesthesia of the senses expressed through the body as a FEEL experience. Shin Gi Tai Ichi is an ancient concept of forging together your technique, spirit and heart into your movement behaviour. This think, act and do process connects the human mind and nature. Discovery is a connection between the human mind and nature Soto p49, (When teaching becomes learning). Hatsumi teaches in a multi dimensional style expressing that knowledge is absorbed and you should become like a child and discover new things with curiosity. Seeing, walking and acting are all interconnected in one proprioreceptive feel. Children act predominantly with a right brain mentality and include speech and actions into one complex physiological function, directed towards the solution of the problem at hand. Children also exhibit a rise in Alpha brain wave production, which is associated with relaxation. A childs imagination plays a big part in linking ideas and memory. This childlike curiosity and involvement of a task with play is also thought to be linked to our limbic system to connect instinctual behaviour to rational thought. A Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget made a study of childrens intellectual development. His findings show that up until the age of ten or eleven a large proportion of European children believed that the mind extended into the spatial world around them. Dr Hatsumi describes this spatial extended sense as Saaki and the natural movement principles he teaches develop this sense. As adults we often need to reconnect with this innate and natural sense. Natural movement is how the body forms itself. As we grow, develop and explore we are constantly organising and re organising ourselves motorically and cognitively to keep in form. Our cognitive and spatial awareness has to extend beyond the body. In this way the eyes, ears and nose act as extero-receptors. Information coming to our sense organs allows us to interpret or translate vibrations of sound, sight and smell into a sense with feeling. Children naturally express this primitive trait up to the age of eleven when their conditioning adapted to what Piaget described as the correct view where images and thoughts are believed to be situated in the head. Physiologists now believe that most learning also involves an interaction between our old and new brains in the limbic system. Because of its link to emotions, many scientists have increasingly come to the conclusion that the key to more effective learning may lie in the limbic system. Imagination and emotion are the most effective way to elicit retention, attention and memory of an experience. When the five representational systems namely: sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch are integrated the body-mind can animate, activate and associate with an experience, on all levels of intelligence. This synesthesia of the senses develops the proprioceptive feel in the body that Dr Hatsumi talks about. Westerners tend to bias towards left-brain involvement to learn sequentially and problem solve with logic. This mode of thought can cause a desychronisation of the brains cerebral hemispheres. In the 1970s a psychiatrist called Dr John Diamond researched the effects of stress factors on the brain and the physiology. He used kinesiological muscle testing as the method of communication for the body to express its response to environmental factors. The basis of the study showed that the brains response to a stress factor was a shift in its balance. This response is known as desychronisation and affects both the body and the mind. His research demonstrates that when desychronisation occurs as a response to a stress a previously intact muscle when pressure tested becomes weak. The study of kinesiology shows that a muscle weakness can indicate the presence of a pathological process in its corresponding organ. This is corroborated by diagnosis through acupuncture and physical or laboratory examination. (Hawkins, D. Power vs. Force p57, 2002). In isolation, the left-brain is a TRY brain and lacks the holistic or imaginative view of the right brain. When people TRY too hard to learn this has the opposite effect and imbalances the synchronisation of the force flow of energy needed for the minds functioning. Learning should incorporate both the left and right hemispheres together with the involvement of the senses. This approach makes a greater impression in the mind, which results in a better ability for recall. In the study of long term memory and recall visualisation has proved to be a powerful method for recall. A picture has been demonstrated to have an impact of more than sixty times a spoken word. This fact is exploited widely in the advertising of products in magazines or on television. We need to understand the learning process as a skill in itself. The brain has an infinite capacity to learn and expand. Using the brain stimulates growth in the same way as a muscle. Every time we visualise the ability to visualise expands. Bernice McCarthy an educational researcher is of the opinion that the majority of students start off right brain dominant, yet the majority of teachers direct teaching to left-brain assimilation. How do we gain a better method for learning? We need to understand that people have preferred learning styles based on brain bias and dominant representational systems. Intelligence is measured via the I.Q. system. This evaluative method was devised to bring a parity of opportunity between the rich and poor in France. Entrance to learning establishments was based on the ability of a child to demonstrate competence with mathematics and language comprehension instead of wealth being the deciding factor for selection into schools. The human has multiple intelligences that include linguistic, musical, logical mathematical, spatial, kinaesthetic and personal. Utilising these intelligences allows a person to function on a multi level awareness of problem solving or discovery. The creative brain is described by Thomas G. West, (In the Minds Eye p 27,) as linking an image to visual imagination. This is a non-verbal process and incorporates primarily visual and spatial elements as a manifestation of a single mode of thought. It also includes pattern recognition and creative problem solving. Curiously enough, these traits are often associated with Dyslexia. This approach to mental awareness sorts information differently to a left-brain approach. Its predominant consideration is to concentrate primarily on similarities and only secondarily with the differences. December 2005 --- Copyright Dennis Bartram --- Page 6 of 30 --- Working in the Space --- He granted them full teaching rights of the ancient school of Hi Chi Bu Ku Goshin Jutsu. Throughout its 2000 year old history its principles and secrets were handed down from Master to pupil. After decades of preparation studying the martial art aspects, the oriental medicine philosophy and osteopathic principles, under his guidance they were acknowledged as MASTERS OF THIS UNIQUE SYSTEM

Organic Composting

By Davinos Greeno Making compost will help you reduce pollution and cut down that landfill! Your plants will grow healthier and look happier for it and it will save you money on fertilisers too. Our local council in Manchester has now given us brown bins for us to add leaves, grass and other compost matter into, which is then emptied every two weeks once it has reduced to less than half its size.
What is compost? Garden guides often describe composting as natures way of recycling. Composting is indeed a natural way of recycling, harnessing natural processes rather than machinery and man-made chemicals, but it takes people to do it.
Soil maintenance is at the heart of organic growing: dont feed the plants, feed the soil -- the plants will look after themselves. The extremely complex subject of soil maintenance can happily be summed up in one word: composting.
A smelly hole at the far end of the garden filled with putrefying kitchen wastes and flies buzzing round. Thats what compost isnt. No stinks, no flies, though kitchen waste is welcome.
Compost is not just decayed organic matter. Composting is applied microbiology at its most complex, involving the interactions of thousands upon thousands of different species of micro organisms in a highly complex ecosystem.
What can I compost?
If it can rot it will compost, but some items are best avoided. Some things, like grass mowings and soft young weeds, rot quickly. They work as activators or hotter rotters, getting the composting started, but on their own will decay to a smelly mess. Recycle your plant-based, kitchen and garden waste by making it into compost
Older and tougher plant material is slower to rot but gives body to the finished compost - and usually makes up the bulk of a compost heap. Woody items decay very slowly; they are best chopped or shredded first, where appropriate.
A container or brown bin is not an absolute necessity as you can make perfectly good compost in a free standing heap as long as it is large enough. You will see later why this may be a drawback. Assuming then that we need to make a container we are faced with many choices.
Why not make or buy a compost bin? Theyre usually cheap to buy, and are available in wood or recycled plastic (that might otherwise be in your local landfill site). If youre keen you could combine it with a wormery or use a shredder which increases the amount of compostable waste. Do not compost foods such as dairy produce, meat, bread etc as these attract flies and vermin. How do I know when its done? That depends. What was a pile of plant material will gradually, from the bottom up, turn into a pile of dark stuff that looks like brown dirt. Eventually, none of the items you put in there will be recognizable. If youre using it out in the garden, a few small recognizable bits wont hurt - theyll finish composting in the garden. If youre using it for houseplants or to start seeds, its better to wait until its well finished so you dont have microbes attacking the fine rootlets of new plants. Dig it in to have a healthy, fertile garden and your fruit and vegetables can be organic. Dont assume the waste is harmless and bin it. Putting it in landfill costs money and it will produce methane (a global warming gas); also it may pollute the groundwater. Alien Invasion of Planet Earth PART ONE

By Michael Tummillo IT IS WRITTEN. Satanic Panic and the Alien Connection - PART ONE "It is written!" Man, them's fightin' words! Christ was confronted by Satan himself during His pre-ministry, 40-day, spiritual warfare training session in the desert. The Bible reveals He was "led by the Spirit ... to be tempted by the
devil" (Matt 4:1), and He proved to the enemy that He was ALMIGHTY, referring to Himself as "the Lord your God" (v.7 and 10). His chief weapon? The Word of God, as He repeatedly reminded
the devil of that which had been written. He resisted Satan and the devil did flee. There's our example. Hell's angels: a true story Satan must have been terribly discouraged after this bout with Jesus. He had waited a lifetime for that face-off. He had been tormented for ages by that "seed of the woman" issue which God
SPOKE forth in Genesis 3:15. The Lord told him directly: "I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed (children of the darkness) and her seed (Jesus); He (Jesus)
shall bruise your head, and you (Satan) shall bruise His heel."
Bruise Jesus' heel? Painful but not lethal. Bruise Satan's head? John 3:8 says, "the Son of God came to destroy the works of the evil one." Ouch! Satan had no choice but to devise a plan to
halt the coming of this Redeemer of humankind. Ever wonder why Satan unleashed his sexually deviant angels to procreate with the "daughters of men" in Genesis 6 (Jude 6-7)? That's right, he would impregnate their women in an attempt to infiltrate "her seed." Inconceivable? No, very clever, really. He covered all the bases. Too weird for you? Never heard this taught in Sunday
school, I'll bet. Weird but, please hear me out. Yes, Satan took God at His Word. God said it and the devil believed it. Curious about the offspring from these unthinkable unions? (Hang on. This is where it gets weird.) Genesis 6:4 refers to them as the Nephilim, soulless or fallen giants. The word "giant" means "a huge being (not necessarily human) of great size and strength." Today we think only of a person of great stature. Though the Scripture refers to them as being "heroes of old, men of renown," God saw them, and the entire planet, as ripe for judgment. Giants are mentioned in the following verses of Scripture. Check 'em out: Gen 14:15; 15:13-21; Deut 2:10-12,22; Josh 14:15;15:13; 21:11; 1 Sam 17:4; 2 Sam 21:16-22. We can trace the stories we've read of half men, half monsters back to Greek mythology centaurs, the gorgons slain by Perseus, those types of grotesque creatures. But I contend that they had their origin in the antediluvian (pre-flood) days of Genesis 6, the race resulting from this demon/human fraternization. Remember when Moses sent out the 12 spies? What was their frightening report? "GIANTS IN THE LAND!" The word there was "Nephilim." Their fear resulted in 38 years of wandering in
the desert. When Joshua came along, God's instructions were to go to Canaan and wipe out all human life (or anything remotely resembling such?). Was He cleansing the gene pool? (For those who don't think angels can take on beautiful manly forms, the Scripture is full of examples to the contrary, from Abraham in Genesis 18:2,22, to the men of Sodom, Genesis 19:5,to Jacob, Genesis 32:24,30, to Joshua in Genesis 23:13 and 15. Mark 12:25 is the usual prooftext for the asexuality of angels, but this verse merely says that, at the resurrection, the newly risen will be like the angels in Heaven, neither marrying or being given in marriage.Nothing about being ungendered). An interesting note: Dr. John E. Mack, professor of psychiatry at The Cambridge Hospital, Harvard Medical School is a contributor to over 150 articles in professional (peer-reviewed)
journals and a former Pulitzer Prize winner. He claims to have been involved in nearly 100 cases of alleged UFO-abductions personally, and has shocked the professional community by
declaring that he believes these beings may be real and that they appear to have an agenda to develop a hybrid race!* (Probably not THAT shocked. Apparently, some REALLY smart
people in science and government are REALLY concerned about this matter). At a professional conference on abductions at M.I.T., Dr. Mack asked;, "If what these abductees are saying is
happening to them isn't happening, then what is?"** Could all this UFO stuff involve a return to the mysterious "Days of Noah" referred to by Jesus in Matthew 24:37 that would precede His return? Some seem to think so. Perhaps a society of giant freaks would not impress modern man as much as reports of little green kidnappers in flying saucers doing body probes from a mother-ship. Satan knows mankind very well.
*John E. Mack, Abduction: Human Encounters with Aliens, Ballantine Books, NY, 1994,
p.411. **C.D.B. Bryan, Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind: Alien Abduction, UFOs, and the
Conference at M.I.T., Alfred A. Knopf, New York, 1995, p.4. From Noah till now. At any rate, God apparently had enough of all this unnatural perversion so He shook the etch-a-sketch,destroying all life on the planet with a great flood, saving only righteous Noah and his
family. Satan was licking his chops as the only humans remaining were confined to a boat amid a tumultuous sea. For years he was left wondering, "Is that the Messiah? How about that one?"
Now, all of humanity was limited to these boat people. Like fish in a barrel. Do you remember Ham? He was the irreverent second son on whom Noah pronounced a curse when the boy walked in on him while he was passed out, drunk and naked. Bear in mind, this
was immediately after the flood. My Heavens, the ground wasn't even dry yet and the enemy was already at work! From Ham came the people of Canaan who ultimately spread to Sodom
and Gomorrah, two cities whose names are synonymous with perversion.
NOTE: Always peel the onion skin and trace the root of any sin, personal or territorial. Other cultures who descended from Ham include the Egyptians, Assyrians, and the Phoenicians. All
of Ham's descendants developed extremely affluent cultures. Yet, for all their prestige and power, they were also known to be deplorably immoral. By the way, Noah was quite possibly NOT a drunk. Whether he became the "father of alcoholism" as a result of the buzz he got from this experience, well, the Bible is silent. Actually, drinking the nectar made from the vineyard he planted, once the floodwater receded, possibly caused him to become inebriated only because the new post-flood environment made the juice ferment more rapidly than he could have anticipated. In defiance of God, one of Noah's offspring, and our forefather, a demonically-inspired man named Nimrod, was the prime instigator in building the tower of Babel, man's first feeble attempt to reach God, (Gen. 11:4). Nice try, Nimrod. (Funny how we're STILL trying to reach God by our own efforts.) The Bible says Nimrod "was a mighty hunter before the Lord," (Gen.
10:9). His hunting prowess doubtfully referred to his skill with a bow as in Esau's case, for example. Esau was "a skillful hunter, a man of the field," (Gen. 25:27). This Nimrod was a hunter of the souls of men, empowered by Satan and able to win the minds, wills and emotions of his people. Imagine! This demonized soul-winner inspired his people to build a tower to reach the stars! This was a painstaking project of colossal proportions. They weren't looking for something to do. They were driven. Inspired. Nimrod was a great leader and great leaders aren't necessarily good ones. The zodiac and astrology are two things we can trace to Nimrod and the tower of Babel; two things that have consistently diverted the attention of humans from the things of God throughout the ages. Millions are still trusting in the stars rather than the one who made them. Nimrod's wife, Semiramis, was called "Supreme One," the priestess, and was eventually referred to as "Queen of Heaven." A legend developed within the Babylonian religion that she was impregnated by a sunbeam and gave birth to a son, Tammuz. Obviously, this was Satan's counterfeit for the virgin birth of the coming Messiah WHICH he knew about from THE BEGINNING and
had thus devised a plan to confuse humankind from day one. He sure understood God's plan, didn't he? That which has been WRITTEN for our benefit had been SPOKEN to him directly
by God Himself. Satan didn't know when this "seed of the woman" would arrive to "bruise his head." In time, the entire civilized world would pay homage to some version of a mother and son combo. In Babylon, it was Semiramus with her son, Tammuz. In Egypt, they had Isis and her boy, Horus. In India, it was Isi and Iswara. Asia had Cybele and Deoius. The Greeks had Aphrodite and her son, Eros and the Romans had Venus and Cupid. When the stories of Mary and
Jesus came along, much of the ancient world would yawn, seeing them only as another motherson team in another culture. At any rate, the Babylonian legend was that Tammuz was killed by a wild boar and Semiramis wept and cried for forty days, mourning and fasting. As a result, Tammuz was resurrected.
A resurrection, too, eh, Satan? Neat trick, devil. Very seductive. All the different cultures contained counterfeits such as this, bringing about confusion, doubt, and a general apathy when presented with the REAL mother and son, the virgin Mary and her Redeemer/Son, Jesus.
